DISNEY!!

This past Sunday we surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World. They had no idea we were going anywhere much less Disney! We woke them up at 7 and told them we were leaving, but did not tell them where we were going! They thought we were going to the beach with Nana and Poppy b/c that is where we go every summer. I have hundreds of pictures but will try to pick a few to post on here. The ones for this post are backwards. They are from the first day/night, Sunday.

We went to the Magical Kingdom when we got there and stayed for the Electrical Parade and Fireworks. What a great way to start our trip!

The first Big ride we did was Splash Mountain! We quickly realized Caitlin loved the fast, crazy, dark and wild rides! Braden likes the easy going laid back rides.

Both kids saw the Merry Go Round and wanted to ride it. It was not too long of a wait.

We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarters. It was a great place to stay!

Swim Team has started!!!!

Swim team has started up again this year! Caitlin was super excited to start swimming and even more excited for the meets. This past Tuesday we had our first practice meet. This is where they get to participate in the events but they are not competing against another team.

Caitlin was so happy that this year she had a lot more friends on her team. She was anxious to get started on swimming.

She was so ready that when they did the relay she went down and wanted to go back, Coach Doug had to stop her! She did act as two swimmers though and did the first position and the fourth position!

Unfortunately, my battery died at this point. The next race was the relay, they ended up in second, though C was the first one on her team and beat her girl by a lot. The third race she was in was the backstroke. She got third.

I am such a proud mommy! Caitlin is am amazing swimmer!

What a day for the Gavin's! I also have great news...I will be teaching fifth grade next year at a Cobb school. It is a very good school and the principal I taught under before. I am super excited for the position!

C's bday party

Saturday we had a birthday party for Caitlin at my parent's pool. Nana bought snorkel sets for the kids to play with while up at their pool, they love them!

Caitlin's Birthday

After Daddy got home we let Caitlin open her gifts from us and family. The first thing she wanted to open was from Uncle Face, the friendship bracelet making kit. She loved it!

She was trying to be so careful not to rip the paper, Braden tried to help but then Daddy had to step in.

The Birthday Girl! She got the crown from school and wore it all day and the next.
