I am finally finishing up the Christmastime pictures. The kids wanted to take the Uncles ice skating.
We all went to the open skating session. This was the first time Braden skated with all his new padding, including the famous butt pads!
Below is the way Braden skates, full force then falls! But he realized it does not hurt now when he falls thanks to all the padding.
Braden needed assistance still during this time.
Caitlin wanted Uncle Crazy Hair to skate with her. Both Uncles were great, they helped both kids out.

This is Braden getting ready, we have to arrive early to get all his padding on. I have no idea how to get everything on, it takes lots of assistance.
It does not take Caitlin anytime at all, no padding! She keeps asking for one of those pretty dresses to wear!

James has been taking the kids every weekend to practice. Last weekend was their first skating lesson. Both kids did really well and are skating so much better. Braden can skate without assistance now and Caitlin is practicing jumping while skating! Braden keeps asking when we are going to sign him up for little kids hockey! We figured we would wait for this skating practice session so he gets a bit more confidence. Caitlin is ready to do more dancing while skating.
