It's a White Christmas!

This was the first time in about 130 years that it has snowed on Christmas Day in Georgia. We had a beautiful white Christmas, big flakes!
As soon as the kids saw the snow they wanted to go out and play in it.
Braden was more up for it than Caitlin, he would have stayed out all day, not so much for her!

Then when there was enough snow they built 3 snowmen.
Of course B's snowmen was a hockey man, complete with a hockey stick!
Caitlin had fun building her own snowwoman!

Christmas

Christmas morning did not come as early as Daddy would have liked, he is always up at 6 waiting for the kids! But it did work out well because Uncle Jesse came in and was able to get to the house while the kids were opening up gifts.
We had to get up and wake up Uncle Jeff (Uncle Face). The kids were so excited to see if Santa actually came!
Both kids got new bikes, they are bigger than their current ones, and they were so excited to see them! Braden's is a green Hot Wheels one that makes a lot of noises!
Caitlin's is a princess bike with a water bottle and a bag.
We stalled them a bit while they opened their stockings so Uncle Jesse and Nonie could make it back in time.
They got lots of candy and toys in their stockings.
Yeah to Uncle Face! Anytime they opened something that needed put together we told them to ask him! He was very patient with them!
This is C opening her American Girl Doll! She was so excited! She named her Katie, her nickname!
This is her brother checking Katie out!

This is B opening his famous Butt Pads! Or Hockey Pants. He has been talking about these for months. He knows that when he gets them he can skate with more confidence b/c it won't hurt when he falls.

B is studying everything he got. Butt pads, should pads and shin guards. He spent the entire time his Uncle's were here playing hockey, full gear, in the basement. And if you ask him he is the House Champion!!
Uncle Face putting gifts together! He is such a great Uncle.
Caitlin in the dress that matches her American Girl that she insists on wearing every day!
Merry Christmas!!

The Children's Museum

Last week week Nonie was here we decided to take the kids to The Children's Museum in Atlanta. They had been in the house watching movies for days because of their surgeries and this was the first day they were feeling better. I figured it was a way to get out without running around and getting to wild.
They have moon sand, Caitlin spent a lot of her time here sculpting.
They took a ride on the Big Gator!
Caitlin loves painting, she enjoyed making pictures and liked how they cleaned it up.
Braden loves reading, he found the books and sat quietly by himself and read.
But then he started acting like his silly self!
Both kids had fun fishing in the water.

I'm Done with Sickness!

The kids are getting very good at ice skating and wanting to go all the time. We went on Thanksgiving night again this year and I was able to watch as the kids skated. Braden loves to wear full gear and Caitlin likes to look pretty!
They both have decided to start skating lessons in January. They will both be in the same class which is good, they will eventually split off, Caitlin going to figure skating and Braden to hockey.
On December 16 both kids will be getting their tonsils and adenoids out. Braden will also be getting tubes put back in. And I am so ready for it! Caitlin just had strep again, the second time in 3 weeks. Braden had strep 3 weeks ago and has an ear infection now.
Braden lost his tube in his left ear awhile ago, the tube in the right ear is just sitting there. I truly believe that when he does not have the tubes his ears cannot drain the way they are suppose to.
And both kids snore loudly, Caitlin stops breathing at night. This in one of the main reasons why all the Doctors want to do the surgery. Also, Caitlin has not been growing, though anyone who knows how I was as a kid knows that I was the same way, but they feel this may help.
Today we went for the preoperation and we were cleared for surgery! I am super excited because I want my kids to be healthy and not to have to take so much medicine. Though I know when the day comes I won't be as excited, I get to go with them to the OR and be with them when the Doctor puts the mask on them to put them to sleep. It will be very hard but I know it is for a good reason.
We are looking forward to a great (healthy) holiday! Nonie, Jeff, Jesse and Mark are coming to visit and we are super excited!
